Coyote, meet Handi .223

Popped this little female this morning. She was checking out the chicken yard. Bad move on her part!


Handi Ultra with .223 - 1:9 twist accessory barrel. She was walking away at about 150 yds.
Shot in the behind (left of the poop chute) with no exit.
75 gr. A-Max handload

Nice shooting!  I've got some 75gr A-Maxes for my .223 Ultra Varmint and was wondering if you could share what powder & charge weight you found works best.  Thanks.

That one was loaded with 23 grs. of Varget. Just happened to have some freshly loaded on the reloading bench. Grabbed two as I headed outside with my Handi but only needed one...

As I was parking my truck, this afternoon, at work, I looked out the window, and there was 4 of them combing the field.

Of course I couldn't shoot, can't carry on fed property (my work) and the Yotes were also on Fed property (Air Force), so I just sat and watched, till I had to go in.

Need it or not, it sucks to have to work, and not shoot.

Nice work. I havent had time to get out for yotes in a couple of months :(. Hopefully I can fix that in a week or two.
