Marlin model 80 failure to eject need help
« on: June 23, 2008, 05:27:26 PM »
I just picked up a Marlin model 80 at the gun show this weekend. I tried it out after I got home it hits anything it is aimed at, but it fails to eject the spent case after the bolt is pulled back and the case clears the chamber. I noticed the clip magazine is worn, so I bought a new magazine today, and tried it out, it still has the same problem. Does Anybody have any remedies. ???

Below is a diagram for the 80.. Seems the 'ejector (80-13) is missing in action or damaged. If the rifle is not pulling the emppty from the chamber the extractor is the culprit.. parts number 80-14 thru 80-18.

Thanks gunnut69, I found the ejector is bent down, I bent it back up for now, it works. I am ordering a New ejector. Thanks again. ;D
