If I were you I would feed that hankerin'. ;D I do not shoot bullets that heavy, but I think they should be OK in a 1 - 9" twist. The only way to know for sure is to try them. 60 grain V-max is the heaviest I have shot in my 1- 9" twist barrel, they shoot without any problem.

Partsman I have shot the 69's out of mine and they worked very well only problem I had was that they were a different point of aim from the 55's that also shot very well. I was accually going to work alot with them this yr but now that I got the Handi in 225win I will use that for the heavies. But I was able to shoot many 3 shot groups with 2 touching just could not get the 3rd one in the same hole but it wasn't the gun or the bullets fault. I sent you a PM. Kurt

What a joke! Up here in the great white north wal-mart doesn't even sell factory ammo for .223,
let alone bullets. You guys are lucky.

I hear you there, our local wal-mart always says ammo is a seasonal item and as such they only stock once a year.  Luck for us we have a local archery/rifle shop that will order what we want if his supplyers have it.

Backstrap
Out walmart will be one of the last to sell guns and ammo.
The guy behind the counter (goofy fella but a nice guy) told me they were one of the top selling in fire arms sales.
There is even a certificate hanging on the rifle case.
