Any thoughts on a Zastava 70 (300. winmag double trigger)

Hi

I can get a second hand Zastava at a very good price (to put in perspective) at a 1/3 of a new Vangaurd.
This includes a scope and mounts. No idea yet on the scope make.

Sounds like a pretty good deal so long as its not trashed. That is basically a mauser 98 if I remember right. Zastava usually makes very good guns. If not mistaken it should be the same action Remington is using for the 798.

These were imported under a number of different names. Interarms was probably the biggest. Charles Daly imported them for a few years also. I've own 3 different ones. A 300WM, a 7MM Mag and a 243. The 7 and the 243 still live at my house. I wish the 300 did. Well built and a good strong action. The doulble triggers is a new one on me. I don't remember seeing one before.

If you can get it for a good price , go for it! Mine liked heavy weight bullets pushed just about to max.

If ya decide not to get it, let me know. I might be interested at the right price!

Hi

Looked at the rifle today, told the guy I will take it. There goes my 375, but at 1/5
of the price I could not say no.
It has a Bushnell Banner 4X40 on. The guy is left handed and carved a piece stock away on the right side
for his cheek!!
Smooth action but the rifle is a bit lit and might bite, but the fit is good. Once the double trigger is set, it
is as smooth as the Timney on my Swede.

The down side!! It will take about 6 months from now before I get my license!!!!

But I will wait
