as a treat to myself for a recent milestone/accomplishment I bought an 85 Finnlight 270win yesterday
mounted a Swarovski 3-10 american on it in Warren mounts
took it out for the initial sightin/break the barrel in session yesterday
I will be handloading for it but bought a few boxes of factory for the sightin/breakin/brass
I do the 1 shot, clean, 2 shots, clean, etc.. routine on new guns whether it really helps or note
with about 15 shots through it I was getting rounds touching at 100 yards with 130g Rem corelockts
very promising for sure
I like some of the tweaks they have done on the 85
I have an old 59 L579 243, a T3 stainless lite 308 and bought a 75 Greywolf stainless 308 used last week but decided it's not for me and it's up for sale...
so I am used to Sakos and the nice triggers and accuracy
the mag won't accidentaly fall out, trigger and action of course are very smooth
I like the feel of the stock, the ergonomics, it's nice and light and just fits like a glove
never had a fluted barrel before but they have always looked cool to me..
that's the most important thing in a gun is how it looks of course

I think I am going to REALLY like it and be a lifelong keeper, that's the goal anyways
it's quite a while to deer season of course but I will have plenty of time to get loads dialed in and totally be in sync with the gun when season hits
