CZ 550 Stock Interchangeability?
« on: March 09, 2008, 01:55:37 AM »
Shouldn't CZ 550 .243 and .380 stocks be drop-in interchangeable? Am in the market for a .243 target/someday son's deer rifle, and am really fond of attractive wood stocks. I found what i want in terms of wood, but it's a .308 (which is fine for now). But down the road, would like to swap the barrelled action with a .243 of the same 550 rifle. Thanks for your thoughts.

Shouldn't be a problem with one possible exception. My 6.5 has a hinged floorplate. I see where the .308 is listed as having a detachable magazine. if the .243 is also a detachable magazine - no problem. If one is one style, and the other the different style, there could be some problems in fitting. But to answer your basic question, there should not be a fit problem.
