New 835 Camo
« on: January 30, 2008, 03:29:36 AM »
;D Now I have 2 of the 835's. I took my new 26" version out with Fed 3 1/2 on a snow goose hunt and it never missed a beat. Ate the big shells like they were candy. My old one balks once in a while on the big shells but still love it anyway. Killed 7 geese with 10 shots so it patterns very well, most of the birds killed within 30-40 yards. long shot of 60 or so and the bird folded clean as a whistle. I do not care what other's say, they  are great shotguns. Forgot I installed a new Sims pad on it and really feels like 2 3/4 going off. Great pad!!! Jess

Good job!  It can't get much better than that ...  a fine day in the field with a firearm that your enjoy shooting.  Glad to hear how much you enjoy your 835.

I've yet to own anything over a 500 series.  They have served me well.  However, I do see a 930 in my future.  ;)

I sang the praises of this gun after taking it home cleaning it and taking it out again I sold the POS!!!!!!! The forearms was binding up start to skip the 3 1/2 shells and the quality of this gun was awful. I sold my Mossberg's and will never waste another dime on these guns. I traded in for a set of Browning BPS in 12 and 20. They are built like tanks and smooth out of the box. After 40+ years of use Mossberg has lost a faithful customer. Never again will i buy one of their guns. Jess

People are learning one at a time.  Glad to hear you like your BPS.  They are the best shotgun made today.  If it's the cheapest gun on the market, there's a reason.
