204 Ruger Barrels for Savage 110?
« on: January 23, 2008, 09:44:11 AM »

Are there Savage 110 compatible barrels in 204 ruger?  It can also be aftermarket so long as they are fairly reasonable.

If so, can you please list where you can find them?(If you know).

One other question I have, if I get a Savage which one has the most aftermarket/factory barrels available to it?  I think it is the 110 but do not know which other model barrels are compatible with the 110.  If you know I would appreciate if you could impart a little of your wisdom to me!

Thanks,

Bob

With the exception of the magunum cals all the 10 and 100 series fit each other.  Pick either the long or short aciton and have at it.  The long action will shoot the short action rounds, not the other way around.  Lots of barrels and they are dead easy to change.  Larry

You can buy barrels for the newer Savages in a lot of places. E.R. Shaw, Sharp Shooters Supply, Shilen, Pac-Nor are just a few that come to mind. Not sure if Mid-way offers an A&B 204 barrel or not. As far as cheap is concerned; you can find cheaper barrels than for bench rest guns, but they are going to cost you more than $100. Expect to pay from about $250 and up unless you are able to a get an A&B barrel and they will cost you around $130+. Good luck to you and let us know if you decide to get a barrel or not and where you got it from.
