Hello and Welcome.    :)

I can see the need for at least two more calibers:  A 45-70 for Grandpa and a .30-30 for the youngsters.   ;)

Happy New Year.

Glad to have you with us jrhweldon, it's almost like another family here, a whole family of Handiholics!!!....<><....:)

P.S. - I agree on the .45-70 and the 30-30, most Handiholics have them, just because they are great guns...

gentlemen thank you for your warm welcome , I started off with a single shot , a jc higgins 22 cal and as time went by started going bigger and better or so I thought , now I'm getting older and am going back to where I started the  high dollar custom guns now set in the safe waitng for the grandsons to grow up, but your probably right I can see more single shoots in my future a 45-120 if I can rent a reamer to convert the 45-70 H&R  that is sitting on the wall at the local gun shop , shop owner said he would save it for me till after the 2 I have ordered come in ,I put my kids through college now I have started on his,ooh well I guess if your gonna play you gotta pay thanks again  jrhweldon

hey Quickdtoo the handi-bug didn't bite me it was the gun-bug a long time ago, started my first rechamber  job 41years ago , a savage 22 hornet with a bad chamber bought that first reamer 22 K hornet with hay hauling money ,lot of sweat went into saving that old gun but a country boy can do about anything  with a little determination and a little advise from the right person, my neighbor about 2 miles away was a retired armorer , I picked up a lot of  knollege from that old man , a great friend up till he died still miss him today even if he was responsible for me getting bit by the gun-bug have a great day jrhweldon

There are many, many members here that have always been gun nuts, but choosing the Handi when so many gun lovers shun it is a little different path than most choose. ;)  When a fella spends $300+ on a rebore and rechamber of a $200- $250 Handi to a chambering not factory available, instead of just buying a rifle off the shelf in that chambering, that's more than just being a gun nut, that's being a true, dyed in the wool Handiholic, you'll get there sooner or later if you're not there already!! ;D
