7mm-08 Report
« on: December 31, 2007, 09:00:12 AM »
I finally got some reloads through my 7mm-08 Saturday.
The weather cooperated for once.

I shot 4 rounds of 4 different charges of varget with two different Ballistic tips.

The 120g bt showed some real promise. (First time I have tried anything lighter than 140g)
Max load shot 1.5" at 100yd. That is the best group this has ever shot.
I can't wait to make up some more to double check.

The 140g bt shot about 2". ( as good as any factory round I have tried)
I also noticed that the 120g didn't kick near as hard as soon as I shot these. ;)

I am going to get some 4350 and try that with both bullets also.
It would be more suited to this round.

Thanks for the info.

I'm just getting set up to load for the 7-08.  I figured on beginning with Varget using Sierra 100 gr hp's and Remington bulk 140's.

Keep us updated.
