Painting Composite Stock
« on: June 24, 2003, 05:10:25 AM »
Anybody painted their own camo stock for their T/C? As purty as those Realtree stocks are, I'm wondering if I could get the same results myself by painting the factory composite stock/forend, and save a few $$ that could be spent on something really important - like another barrel!

make sure it is clean as a whistle, I used some denatures alchohol. Then use appropriate flat color paints. Here's the rub, bore solvents will eat through the paint. so apply several coats of dull clear-coat. :P
