Mine is a Remington model 700BDL in 243 with an older Redfield  FIVE Star 3x9 with the fine cross hair peep retical. I call it the meat stick. My son will be using this year to hunt with. Also have a new Remington model 700xcr in 270wsm with a Burris Euro-Diamond 2.5x10 with 44 OBJ. It has the Ballistic Plex retical. I will use this year hunting deer and elk.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr

No it's not my Model 700 in .308, it's my original Remington Rolling Block in 7x57. I hope to take a deer and/or coyote with it in Maine this year....<><....:)

No doubt for me it would be the Remington 700 CDL in 7m-08.  It is just too good . . .

Just got a Remington 700 SP in 300 wsm at D.I.C.K.'s with very nice wood for $330! I just could not pass up that deal. My cousin can load this round for me, and with the flat shooting the 300 wsm is known for, I can use this on the 100 and 300 yard target range. Sighted the Burris Fullfield II 3x9 40 in Sunday, and plan to take this deer hunting opening day Wedneday. Have gotten turkey and boar, but this will be the first deer hunting that I have done.
I took the wood off and put a new take off SPS stock on it, and a Rifle Basix trigger set a 3 lbs.

I have a  Remington 742 rifle in .30-06, a  742 Carbine in .30-06, and a 7400 rifle in .30-06. I like all three, but I have to say that the 742 Carbine is my favorite. I have a Leupold  2X7X33 scope on it, and it is the perfect size for a carbine. I like the 742 Carbine because it is easy to carry, and point, especially in the Northeast woods where I hunt.

I picked up an un-catelogued Rem LVSF in 7mm-08 this year.  It weighs just 7lb and 12 oz scoped with a 4x12 VXII.

I decided to hunt only with this rifle for the entire season.  I love it.  I took a nice 4x4 in Idaho and a bunch of does here in NC.  It is a sweetheart to shoot from a box stand because the forearm is flat like a varmint stock, and recoil is extremely mild.

NC Deer season closes on Jan 1st unless that day falls on a Sunday.  There are some western zones that may be sooner but East and Central close on 1/1.

Killed deer with 3 of my 700s this season,7mag,8mag and ole 30-06,these 3 combined have killed over 100 deer, over 40 elk,a grizzly, moose, caribou, wolves, coyotes, many antelope,,mountian goat, various sheep, black bear, mountain lion,Kudu, zebra, wilderbeast, gazelle, hartabeast, gemsbuck, warthog and who knows how many other critters without a single mechanical failure over the 30 years they have been in service, from the arctic circle to the plains of Zambia in every kind of weather imaginable and these rifles have stood the test,I cant even begin to imagine how many rounds have been fired through the -06 in 30+ years and it still shoots 1" at 100 yards with factory ammo, the Remington model 700 is every mans rifle and if you dont own one you should.
If it aint fair chase its FOUL,and illegal in my state!

Best bang for your buck. I have put right at 2000 rounds though my 06 adl. Its about 20 years old and it still prints groups that can be compared to some of my custom barrels. I bought another adl and have put about 50 rounds through it and all it needed was a trigger job and its just as good as the 30year old one.
