  What is your opinion of Charter Arms ?  Equal to ?..Better than ? Not as good as ?

New models?  Less than. I'd save for a used S&W or SP101 first.

Old models?  I don't know.

Ive shot a few bulldogs and quality seems to vary alot between guns. Some were good guns some were rattle traps. Hell of a nice gun for the money if you get lucky and get a good one though.

I have both  Charter Arms (44Spec, 38Spec) and SP101's(327,357) and if you are talking 357 then I would go with  SP101, if you are looking for a light 38 Spec then I would go for the Charter.As Lloyd Smalley if you get a good one they are more than acceptable.   Doug

i keep on passing up the charter arms revolvers.   i have looked at 'em; but won't gamble on a chance of getting a lemon.   there are too many good smith's and too many good rugers.   

be sure to buy one that handles +P ammo, too.
