Swift Premier Scope

I'm thinking about putting the 4-12x40mm AO on a .17HMR.  Anybody have experience with one? Also are the Warne quick detach rings on a Weaver base any good.  Most shooting will be under 100 yds., and it's a no kicker.  TIA

BG :  Should do fine I have a swift 4x12 on a 223 and it hasnt been a problem since mounted, it was a scope that I had laying around and when I got the rifle in a trade I just threw it on to try the rifle and have left it there as it has been doing a fine job. :D   JIM

I don't know about the scope, but I do know about the rings.

I own MANY sets of Warne rings and bases on several rifles.  Warne rings are very heavy duty and super strong.  Plus, their quick detachable rings are excellent and really keep their zero (or at least VERY close to it.)

I don't know about the Weaver bases though.  As such, I would STRONGLY recommend getting Warne bases to fit the Warne rings because the rings have a special recoil key lug that fits into the Warne bases.
