I have a Bushmaster 6.8 that I bought and put together.  I bought a regular 223 lower 6 position collapsible stock, then I saved up enough for the 6.8mm A3 flatop upper with carryhandle.  Only thing I do to mine was put a harris bipod mount on the forearm for a bi-pod and then I put a Leupold VX-1 4-12 on top with the long lange reticle.  I like the 6.8 so much more than I do the 223, there just isn't any real comparison between the two.  It's light and accurate.

If I remember correctly it got shoved down into a drainage culvert in Beirut in the early 1980's.

CMMG 1-7 twist M4 and I sold it.  Much happier with an AR-180.  Op-rods rule.

The first one is a Rock River Varmint A4 with an 18" barrel 1:8 twist.  I just added the optics and Wilson Combat base and rings.  This thing will do dime size groups at 100 yards.

The second is a Rock River lower with a collapsible stock.  The upper is P.O.F. with a 16" barrel 1:7 twist.  All I've added was the flip up rear BUIS and the sling.  I'll probably add an EOTech sight or something along that line - soon I hope.

DPMS AP4 carbine, 4 rail free float handgaurd, YHM flip-up sights, phantom flash hider, JP trigger, Ergo grip, Ace Socom adjustable stock, Holo sight, 3pt. sling.

Olympic Arm Ultra Match, Leopold 4.5 x 14 scope and military sling.

DPMS AP4 carbine, CSM single point sling, 6 positional butt stock, extended charging handle latch,palm swell adjustable pistol grip, and EOTech Holo sight.

DPMS 308LR, TIS sling, Leopold 4.5 x 14 scope, Rock River match trigger, SPR adjustable butt stock, Harris bi-pod, and palm swell adjustable pistol grip.

Heavy C,

  I love my rifle.  I spent $ 928 for the rifle last year and I believe that it was money well spent.  Have put just over 450 rounds through the rifle with no malfunctions so far.  With the muzzle break that I had installed, the recoil is not much, and I have been getting sub MOA accuracy.  I believe that DPMS makes the best 308 AR type rifle for the money than the other compettion at this time.  Magazines are alittle expensive though.

I bought a  Bushmaster in 6.8 SPC and have add a new Bushmaster 2 stage trigger, a riser for scope mount and a Bushnell Holo sight. I am considering a quality light and related mounting hardware.
