This will be the first time in the last 17 seasons I'll be able to use a rifle, since I just moved back to upstate NY after living in Illinois and Indiana.
I'm gonna use my Browning Stainless Stalker LH 25/06 for the opener. using Sierra 100 gr bullets.  This gun has been with me for many years and has never been used on deer.  When the bear season opens, I'll switch to my 7mm-08 Savage 11FL, with Sierra 170 RN bullets, or my new (used) Browning Stainless Stalker LH 30/06, with 180 gr Rem RN factory loads.

Sweet 6.5 I have found Reloader 19 to give both Velocity in 2900-2950 range and very good accuracy.  Got load off of www.reloadersnest.com on the net, start slow.  I don't think I would push this bullet any faster or it may not perform as well as one would like.  Pretty devasting load drops them at 300 yds.   2.5 high at 100yds.., under 6"'s at 300.  What I was trying to do was use a bullet that would be a top performer at longer ranges.  If I was using my 6.5x55 in the woods I would use a 140 grn Nosler Partition or other premium bullet using RL 22.  These are not the only loads but just some I like and work well.  I love banging that 300yd gong at the range I go to with that 120grn Hot Core.  Awesome deer caliber!

My Bushmaster Ar15 carbine in 6.8 SPC will be at my side and at my shoulder all season. Bought a couple of ten round mags just to make the rifle more compact even though in Wisconsin I can legally use the 27 round mag that came with the gun. I have some very accurate hand loads with 115 grain Corelokt Ultras over a charge of H335. A Bushnell Holo sight tops this rifle. This gun is pure performance.

OK, now I know which guns are going hunting:

Ruger M77 7mm Rem Mag, 140g North Fork (new style) @ ~3200fps
Ruger M77 .30-06, 165g North Fork (new style) @ ~2800fps
Marlin .30-30, 170g Nosler Partition RN @ 2300fps

Now the question is which one will I grab opening morning.  If its like last year I won't decide until I reach for one.  The virgin .30-06 is the leading candidate, however.

put one round of each ammo in a box and let some one pick one with their eyes covered. then thats what you will use.  or make a poll on here saying choice a b or c. then a can be lets say 30-30 b 7mm and c 30.06. don't tell us which is which and let us vote. and the one who wins is the gun and ammo you will use
