Wood stocks for me. I like to sand them down, reshape them and restain them to my own liking. I have been surprised a few times at how nice the grain was under that factory stain. The synthetics have their place but they have no soul or character. Just my opinion.

I'd like the stainless handi with a pretty walnut stock of the same shape as the plastic stock.

Smittty

I'd go for that!

I can appreciate the beauty, heart and soul of a fine wood riflestock.  If I were a collector, I would insist on wood.

As a shooter, I feel that synthetic stocks are more durable and much better suited for the way I use firearms in the field.

Currently, there is no wood on any firearm that I own.

if money didn't concern me I'ld buy one of those "Stinger Thumbhole" from gunstocksinc.com // but since I luv my handi & hate the 2x4 bolted to it, I got one of those ugly Choate Varmint stocks. Just the but-stock so I can mess w/the forearm if needed. // if I'm gonna have wood on my gun it needs to be pretty, otherwise ugly can at least be practical
