No Limbsavers for Vanguards
«

I was in the store last week and walked by the section for Limbsavers and they did not offer one for the Vanguard. So, out of curiosity I went to their web site and looked around and they didn't have a listing for it either.
I am surprised!

Limbsaver lists the 10102 as fittng some wood stocked Vanguards. There's always the grind-to-fit. They may also have a prefit that is very close to fitting, but you'll have to print the templates to actual size to find out.

I'm a sold customer with respect to the "Sorbothane" (sp?) butt pads on "authoritative rifles". I restocked a Howa .338 Winnie (with a Boyd's JRS laminate) and had a smith friend add a grind-to-fit "Sorbothane" pad (can't remember the brand name). HUGE difference in perceived recoil. That addition makes the .338 a pussy cat to shoot-even off the bench....well, compared to what it used to be.
I get pushed around at the range, but come home without a technicolor shoulder.
