I sure hope it comes back in soon. Along with other brands I tried for my NEF/.223..Tim recommended the WW "white box" 45 gr.

They work best of all in my rifle..

The WW White Box 45jhp's work the best in my rifle too, but according to the guys at our Sportsman's Warehouse, most of the 223 ammo is going to fill government contracts.
Thanks,

In that case Trapper, I'll gladly forego any claim to those rounds ..

i wouldn't want the troops to be deprived of one single round they could use..

Iroglow,
I whole-heartedly agree.  Meanwhile I just make do with what I can get and not complain a bit.
Thanks,

Good Luck!  I'm out and can't seem to find it anywhere.  I shot 1" groups or less @ 100 yds. with it.  I bought a 250 rd. Mega-Pack of Remington UMC 45 gr. JHP.  It shoots OK.  About 1-1/2" groups.  I've had OK luck with American Eagle too, but can't find it in anything lighter that 50-55 gr.  I'm saving for a press so I can load my own.

I hope Winchester starts making it again.  But better our troops shooting terrorists, than me shooting woodchucks and paper I guess.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, Midway has it as expected every month, they just keep moving it back.

Ammo is going up higher & higher in price. Primers are now getting harder to find due to military & government agencies demands for ammunition.  I would suggest that you buy what you can afford now, it's gonna get worse. China is buying up alot of metals too, lead, copper, etc... driving the prices through the roof! I'm getting very concerned.

.223 ammo is getting very short here in Alaska.  We are told all Winchester .223 is going to the was effort.  So until things slow down in the middle east, it's going to stay that way.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

That's the best reason there is to be reloading your own.

I picked up 7, yes SEVEN gallons of .223 brass at the range a month ago.

Won't need to ever pick up another .223 case.

Now I need another coffee can full of bullets.   Loaded up about three gallons of them over
the winter for pr/doggin, then got these cases since.
