Well guys I know you have heard it more than once ( " GET THEM ALL " ) I was kind of wondering what that cost would be to have one receiver fitted to every barrel that H&R offers at this point in time. It would seem redundant for some because they are offered in many different lengths and contours. I think I will try to figure it out this weekend ( IF I GET A CHANCE ) What the cost would be to buy every barrel they offer without duplicate barrels. In other words if they offer the same barrel in different configurations I would only choose the bull blue barrel in it's longest length. I am going to just make a guess now but I think it might be around $1,500.00.

I suppose you could alway start afresh and agonize over the various options in stocks...

Don't even factor in the cost of dies, bullets powder etc. It would give me a headache.

Well from what I come up with of having one caliber each from the factory came up to a little over $1600.00 and thats not counting the fitting and shipping charges.

If you go with just the standard 22" barrels except the 38/55 , 204 Bull , 280 , 25/06 and the 50 ML for rifles . Them the 12 & 20 With VR and screw in chokes , all others in 26" it works out to $ 2907 .

That covers the price of the barrel + $ 10 shipping and $ 15 fitting per barrel . So if you have a spare $ 3000 you could have all that they currently offer .

I have plenty to do that is why I never got around to figuring it out this weekend. Stimpy that is alot of money huh. Now we know. After you get them all then you can work on the wild cats.

My name is Peanut and I am a Handiholic!!!!I have come to this realization after getting two 17MII, two .410, 20ga, .50cal, .223, .204, 45/70 and this is just in the last 9 months I have for the most part been able to hide this from my wife but she seems to be getting more suspcious all the time. I thought I was able to handle it but I have now started to sell some of my TC Encore barrels to fund my habit. So I have decided to seek treatment and at this time I think that is to start shooting a lot more of what I have and try and stay away from the ads for more Handi's so I would like to ask you all for help by refusing to sell me any no matter how I may beg don't do it`. That is at least not until I get the next 3 on my list .357 mag, .17HMR and the 25-06 thanks for allowing me to share

I have a H&R Buffalo classic and a Shiloh Sharps in 45/70 the SS is a fine rifle and very accurate, and expensive, the BC is as accurate and not as expensive. Now which do I take to the range the most? Why because I am afraid I will scratch the SS. Which will I take to hunt deer this fall? Guess!

The only program that I have come up with so far is to just shoot the heck out of what I have. My greatest fear is I will become like that Quick dude he's surely wasted on Handi. Kurt

I'm not the only one that's got it bad!! I've even tried averting my attention from Handis to the Encore and Optima Elite, but I've aquired several more Handis since those, so that didn't work one bit!!!

There's always the 12 step program....
