329PD owners, grip question
« on: December 23, 2006, 08:39:12 AM »
I just purchased a 329PD and the factory grips are not cuttin it.  My question is,  should I put pachmayr grips on it or a grip off of the smith X frame.  I saw them on the S&W website for 35 bucks.  Also,  is this revolver a round or square but?  Thanks for your help.

It's a round butt. If your hands are average to larger, you'll like the X frame grip. It works well.

I ordered the x frame grip from S&W.  It should be here next week.

I have the 500 grips on my 329. The are made for a L frame but fit fine. There is a little gap at the rear of the top strap and behind the trigger guard. They have much more cushining and fill the hands well. A huge improvement of factory grips.
