Huntsman barrel on BC
« on: March 25, 2007, 12:47:39 PM »
If I want to get one of those 26" stainless barrels to use on my BC, do I still have to send my receiver and buttstock in? I was wondering as it has a breechplug, and headspace doesn't seem as critical.

good question but I am sure H&R would require you to send the action in for fitting if they sold you the barrel....<><.... :)

Thanks Andy!
I was afraid that would be the answer.
My son, Andrew, is left handed, left eye dominant, and we are starting to build a firearms suite to accomodate him. He is a chef and can do wonderful things with venison and wild turkey. He is returning to New York to work on his bachelor's degree, but will be home to Missouri for blackpowder season, so we are planning ahead. These NEF/H&R rifles fit him perfectly. He has a Reminton 7600 pump in .35 Whelen for almost all of his smokeless hunting, but we need a blackpowder rifle also.
Thanks,
Don
