This kid was from right down the road from us. The local papers have been full of the story for the last few days. The General in command of the operation when he was killed and the Major who accompanied the body came to Dubois for a premier showing of the movie there. The Marines knoy how to take care of their own.

I see the movie is showing on HBO but we don't subscribe. I guess the movie will be available on videotape later. Will it show up on Pay Per View?

I dont know any other place except hbo that its available now. Hopefully it will be made available to everyone as ever american should see this movie! I found an address for a foundation that is taking donations in his name. this money will be used to buy needed flax jackets and other equiptment for the marines over there. Im on social security and obama is giving everyone on social security 250 bucks to help stimulate the economy. i cant imagine a better way for my money to help america right now. the address for the foundation is below. Please consider sending a couple bucks yourself

Guys,
As the Dad of a Marine serving over yonder, the movie really struck a nerve for me. I've considered myself to be a strong person until watching this movie last nite. If you're gonna watch it, get a tissue or two. This one will pull at every heart string ya own. Now to decide whether or not to tell the wife about it...

Ya'll take care,
HWD

Watched it last night.  Very powerful story!  I've always appreciated our military, but after watching this there just aren't words for the level of gratitude and respect these men and women deserve.  My heart goes out to their families.

+1 on the tissue recommendation.  My wife was a mess after watching it.   :'( :(

Lloyd-
Thanks for putting this in here. I spent some time in Dubois a few years past and probably ran into this young man, unknowingly, along the way. Will put this movie on the "to watch" list.

Couldn't agree more, it was the first time I ever wanted to write a "Hollywood" type and tell them, "Job well done".  This should be a must see for all Americans.  God bless all who have served, are serving or have a loved one serving.
