Welcome aboard, Hal! The only sure way to know what the twist rate is, would be to check it with a cleaning rod, how-to instructions are in the FAQs and Help sticky. NEF/H&R has switched back and forth so much, it's hard to tell what it is, if I had to guess, I'd say it's a 1:12" since the only 1:9" twist barrels in 2005 were supposed to be just in the fluted Ultra, but that's not concrete cuz even some of those were 1:12"!!
