fitting barrels

Someone explain to me the process behin dhte fitting of barrels please....Is it necessary to send in an SB2 receiver if you decide to buy a new barrel for it??
I've got a long list of real good reasons for all the things I've done.

All the info you will need to have for barrel fitting is in the FAQs at the top of the CF forum page and yes you will need to send in a frame to have a new barrel fitted at the factory .

thanks stimp..i guess i got in a hurry...what about if i were to buy a barrel second hand off of say this website...would it need to be sent in to the factory to be fitted?

H&R NEF won't fit a used barrel to our frame, they'll only fit a new barrel when ordered. We have to do our own fitting of used barrels or have our gunsmith do it. ;)
