DO I HAVE AN SB-2 RECIEVER ???

I want to be 100% sure on which reciever I have...I think it is an SB-2

the serial # is   NS 274579

there is a "P" stamped on the bottom of the reciever

when I bought it was part of a .50/.243 Handi rifle combo

Zermatt,
The N stands for New England Firearms and the S means it was made in 2002. It sounds like you have a SB-2 frame since it came with a 50/243 combo. I am not the expert here though.

If you bought it NIB as a combo, you shouldn't be concerned, but the only positive way to know what the frame is, is to contact H&R NEF CS and give them the serial number, they'll tell you exactly what barrels can be fitted. You can compare it to the pics in the FAQ if you want, but CS is the final word.
