Yes. John Taffin and I took delivery of the first guns to leave the factory. He and I both had .50AE's retro-fitted with .500WE cylinders, and John also bought another short barrel .500WE at the same time. All were shipped in late September of 2005. A couple weeks later, I took the first head of big game taken with the cartridge, a North Carolina wild boar. John's first article on the cartridge can be found in the April 2006 issue of Guns magazine. I have found the cartridge to be quite accurate in the FA revolver, and obviously it is adequately powerful for most any need. It is in the same category of power as the .500 (really .510) and .475 Linebaughs, and the .500JRH.
