Can I put my 357 on a ND247XXX frame?

I have a frame ser # ND247XXX that I think was a .410. Can I mount my .357 barrel on it? I would think 357 does not make much more pressure than a shotgun.

If it's an SB2 Rifle frame, no problems at all, but if it's an SB1 shotgun frame as you suspect, I won't recommend it even tho several members here do so. You can call H&R at the toll free number in the FAQ and they'll confirm what barrels can be fitted to it, the D denotes 1989 as the year of mfr. Please see the link below.
