I have a new synthetic stock Handi in 45-70.I'm shooting Hornady's new rounds out of it.The recoil pad thats on it is pretty good, but I'm sure theres better.Whats the best recoil pad out there that fits the Handi's.Thanks Dave.

To my knowledge, there's none that are prefitted for the syn or wood stock Handis, the Limbsaver small grind to fit works on the wood stock and the 10601 and 10003 prefits may be close, but new holes will have to be made in the pads for the syn stock. The 10601 is a fair fit for length, but is wider than my syn stocks. You can download the templates at Limbsaver, but you'll have to play with printer settings to get them to come out sized to actual. The 10003 for the 988 slug gun is wider than any wood or lam stocks I have, but will work on them, just not a great fit.
