Saw Some Handis

I went on a tour of some shops I don't get to very often.  One was an Ultra I believe.  It was in .270 with a ported barrel for $350.00.  I would have bought it if it was a .30-06 but I don't like the .270 at all.  The other was a Buffalo Classic in .45-70 for $450.00.  That seemed way too high.  It had a real pretty stock.  I wish the barrel wasn't quite so long.

Both the 270 Ultra Comp...and tha Buff Classic are great guns...both were priced a little high...well...actually the Buff Classic was about $100..too high...and the Ultra Comp about $50...provided both were new...Don't be so quick to dismiss the 270...it is a fine round...and the Ultra Comps are some very fine shooters...I've had several on them...and might get another before long...

I have a 270 Ultra, one of my favorite Handi's, and , if I could have only one round, it would be the 270.

I will only use sub-.30 calibers for varmits and small game.  Too many bad experiences with them.  I recently bought a .270 Handi and sold the barrel as quickly as I could.
