If weight is an ABSOLUTE consideration, go with the MUCH lighter 329PD. HOWEVER, with a GOOD belt and GOOD holster, I'd prefer the Mountain Gun. If you plan on doing ANY amount of shooting, your HAND will also appreciate the added weight of the Mountain Gun over the 329PD.

I have both a MG and an Airlite in .41 Magnum and have shot both the same in .44. With the .41 it doesn't seem to make much difference which factory load is used as recoil is very controlable even with full loads in the Airlite...not so in .44. With full 240 grain loads in the Airlite M329 the gun can not be kept on target for quick followup shots. The most pleasant shooting factory .44 round I have shot is the Speer .44 Magnum 200 grain Short Barrel Load. Supposed to be 1080 from a 4" gun and is very accurate.

If you are going .44 and going to shoot the gun much at all I would suggest the Mountain Gun.
