Sodium nitrate is used in the manufacture of glass and pottery and also as a food preservative but folks who made pottery and eat hot dogs should be kept under surviellence .
The prime use of potassium chlortate is in the manufacture of disinfectants and bleach but some hoursewives are not to be trusted .
Sodium chlorate is mainly used to bleach kraft and pulp papers and if that isn't enough to raise eyebrows , i don't know what is .
Potassium perchlorate is an oxidizer used in fireworks and sparklers so come July 1st everyone that purchases a sparklers requires a file .
Of course most of the above chemicals in the right combinations can be used in the manufacture of home made explosives but since we already have laws against bomb making i see no necessity for big brother to restrict or prohibit chemicals that we use in our everyday lives and hobbies . Farmers , hairdressers , RC hobbyists , pulp mill workers and housewives meet no terrorist profile . We'll now have to hire 2,000 more gov't agents to enforce regulations for non-existant problems .
