Sorry, I don't have any idea, but the BPCR forum down the page in the Blackpowder section or the Paper Patch bullet forum should be able help ya out.

As you know, there aren't any rules that are set in concrete when it comes to reloading, but normally a load for a heaiver bullet can be substituted for a lighter bullet of similar construction.  That means a 300 gr lead load can normally be used with a lighter lead bullet.  Of course, if there's too big of a difference in weights, you may get into an overage in the velocity department.

More than likely, a 12.0 gr of Unique/Universal/Green Dot load would be a mild load that may break 1300 fps, but would probably shoot pretty good.  Somewhere around 16.0 gr of Blue Dot wouldn't be too much velocity either.  I shoot 20.0 gr of Blue Dot with a 300 gr JHP, so the 255 gr lead with a lesser load will probably duplicate the 1470 fps I get with a jacketed bullet.

Start light and work your way up.  ;)
