For our guns, Rottweil 2 3/4" 7/8oz slugs have been excellent Super accuracy from my son's smoothbore Mossberg. Out to 50 yards it's as accurate as a decent rifle. Haven't needed to shoot beyond that range. The heavier 1oz 3" magnum version has too much pressure for his Mossberg and they jam in the chamber regularly, so we don't use them.
