Forend on 527 Laminated Varmint

Does the laminated stock varmint rifle have a wide/flat forend?  I know that the walnut stock on the varmint model is just about the same size as that on the American (but obviously with a wider barrel channel).  Just curious.  Thanks.

It is wider and flater, but not flat.
Still has some rounded edge.
