Dressing to the "nines"

....Well, I went on over to ebay just to see what handi rifle accessories might be available, and lo and behold, there were several stock and forearm sets......So, I nabbed a set of strgitht grip green camo laminates and a really nice looking walnuty appearing limited edition set too.....had a white spacer and the lilmited edition medallion inlayed in the buttstock and the older style schnabel forearm.......put that set on my .280 and the green camo laminates on my 30-30......pics as soon as my kid does the work for me.....first winter project down...........now for a glass of merlot!

......yes, I know the prices on both sets of wood went rather high...but as far as I know, neither are available any longer from the factory?......if they are not, the next cheapest option for laminated stocks and forearms are from gunstock.inc and they are around 167 bucks a set!!!!!!....

Anyway, I am happy with them and paid for them with scrap metal i turned in this week so no out of pocket expense anyway......

MSP ...good to hear from you....I did not get a deer during regular firearms season, but I have another week and a half of muzzleloader season and I have a stand in my back yard.....perhaps nature will throw one my way anyway....

....plan to get a .22 Hornet this winter and get it sighted in with a 6.5-20 simmons whitetail classic for spring groundhog plinking.....

have most of my firewood in the cellar, will get the rest in this weekend ...gotta get it done before it gets snowed on you know!.....

have begun minor christmas shopping via ebay....back to the 1970's with an atari 2600 system for the wife and me.....should be a hoot....."missle command" "pac man" etc all coming to town......hahahahah.....

Got  a set off E-bay  last week, monte carlo stock, with old type forearm too. Paid under 40.00 for set. I can see the scope better too.

say bighoof, that set looks exactly like the one i got....i paid just over 40 bucks.....the monte carlo buttstock has a much more pronounced hump and better heft and feel to it than the new ones doesn't it!.....and the older style schnabel forearm puts the new hunka junk ones to shame.....

took a pic of all my handis and my one mossberg ssi one but having trouble getting the computer to send it to an email attachment...damned computer!

Yeah, there was two of the stocks on E-bay, a darker set and the ones I bought. The recoil pad feels and looks better than what's on the stocks today. Taking it to the range today.
