I have been going to range trying different slugs in the Beretta A391 Xtrema2 12 gauge. I have shot Remington copper solids, Hornady SST's, Federal 's with Barnes expanders and Lightfields. The only ones I could get to group well were the Lightfields. My groups with the Remington solid copper's gave me 3 inch groups at 100 yards, the Hornady SST's were the worst at 9 inch groups and the Federals were in the 3 inch range also at 100 yards. With the Lightfields I am getting 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. I was shooting off sand bags with a Leupold VXII 2X7X33mm.
The set up is deadly accurate for a slug gun. I bought a case of Lightfields so I would have the same lot number for several years. I shot two boxes of the same lot and the point of impact did not change and the groups stayed the same. I am very pleased with the results of my shooting and the performance and the accuracy of the Beretta. Boy did I spend a bunch shooting to find the right combination, but well worth it.
