Anyone out there shooting .50 t/c renegade

Any info on loads  for .50 renagade  Also anyone recomend a peep sight...ED

I have one but don't really shoot it that much as I'm not much into muzzle loaders, it's just my favorite of them. TC makes a peep for it you should be able to get thru them or any TC dealer. Check Ed's TC's a GBO Sponsor, his banner is on the TC Handgun Forum.

I use 100 grains equivalent of Pyrodex Select in mine under Hornady Great Plains bullets or Buffalo Bullets. I think they weight about 365 to 370 grains as best as I recall. That's all I ever use in mine.

I shoot either 50 gr FFFG or 70 gr FFG Goex under a patched round ball (PRB).   My Renegade is a lefty model with the factory open sights.  I also have a lefty in 54.

320 gr REAL with 85 grains.
240 gr PA Conical with 75 grains.

Try it with/without a wonderwad.

IN the late 70's I got my first Renegade a 54 cal and have used from 50 to 120 gr of fffg. All I can say it they are the best rifles I have used. During this time I have used all types of bullets but have come to one conclusion, ROUNDBALL. I can't locate anything that is better.

Just play with your rifle and enjoy learning what is the best for you.
