Sidekick Ramrod
« on: December 01, 2006, 01:34:07 PM »
In hunting camp opening day went to load sidekick and realised i'd forgot my range ramrod. After hearing all the horror stories and never useing the sidekicks ramrod, I tried it. I loaded a 300gr. SST, Havester crushed rib sabot and the ramrod worked just fine!
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

They work just fine on semi-clean barrel.  Just make sure that you do not extend the ram rod when starting the bullet down the barrel, then when you have the bullet about half way down the barrel extend the ram rod to seat the bullet. I have had my ram rod for several years, but when target practicing I use a range rod. Eye shot, did you get a deer?
