Remington Summit

I just bought a Remington Summit .177 caliber rifle.  Has anyone had any experience with these - good or bad?  Any suggestions?

Looks good in the Cabelas advertisment!  So how does it shoot?  I wonder if it's quieter than faster ones due to it being sub-sound ?

Congrats on your purchase.....are you recommending these to your friends....yet?

Not worth the price. Its sold as a Crosman product, and its really an $80 Chinese  made B18 in different stock. Its the same action as the Crosman Quest. Not at all a really bad rifle for under $100, but a really mediocre rifle for $200+.

as i say a lot look on http://www.reviewcentre.com/consumer_reviews54.html that were i get my info and also crosman gun like the  Quest are very well made guns and most are 100-135$.

My first shooting experience with the Remingtom Summit was disappointing.  Using Crosman Premier pellets, I shot several 4 inch groups at 25 yards.  Now I am sampling a variety of different pellets (manufacturers, profile, weight) to see if any shoot well.  The best I have seen so far is 1 inch groups at 25 yards.
Now that I have shot the rifle, I find the trigger to be poor, the scope to be poor, and the general accuracy to be poor.  If I could return the gun and get a better one, I would.  For many people, $200 for a pellet rifle might seem to be a minor investment, but for me it is more than I thought that I would spend for an urban pest control rifle.  I'm not certain that I will ever be completely satisfied with the Remington Summit.

Cabelas has a money back Guarantee. Why not return it? Oops, I just noticed you didn't specify where you bought the rifle. If you can return it I can highly recommend the RWS model 34 and 34 Panthers. Very good initial quality, right ought of the box accurate in both of mine. And you can get them in either caliber for $170 from Midsouthshooterssupply.com Good luck!
