Anyone familiar with the 450 Watts?
Supposedly formed from 375H&H brass and reportedly faster than 458 Lott.
Thanks.

I use 416Rem mag Brass, a little less stress on cases going from 416 to 458 vs 375 to 458.
I have a ruger #1 that was a 458wm rechamberd to 450 Watts. Excellent brush gun for whitetails in northern Michigan. :)  ;D ;D ;D  There was an article in Handloader a few years back on this ctg.

I had the understanding that the .450 Watts and .458 Lott were "nearly" identical!

http://www.chuckhawks.com/450Watts.htm
http://www.rifleshootermag.com/featured_rifles/buff_1124/index.html

etc...

I'm sure *some* of the above writers are simply regurgitating older stuff -- but there's some of enough new stuff in each article to be useful.  I only saw ONE "for sale" note for a rifle in .458 Watts that claimed a 300fps difference between a Watt and a Lott -- I figure it is based on a misquote that should have claimed 300 fps over the .458 Win...
