416 Rigby in Encore
« on: August 01, 2006, 10:06:43 AM »
Hey guys I currently have a 375 H&H barrel for my encore and love it. I have been thinking of adding a 416 rigby to my collection  and was wondering how much more recoil will there be from the 416 compared to the 375H&H. Redhawk I know you will be responding cause I know you either have or have had a 416 in a encore.
                                        Thanx  John :)

I was very surprised at the lack of recoil on my 416 Rigby barrel, I have it still but I have not shot it a lot lately. I have shot the 300 gr. Barnes X and the 350 gr. Barnes solids in the gun. With the muzzle break on it, I would say the 45-70 in the Encore has about the same recoil. The accuracy is great also. If you are interested I would be willing to let my 416 Rigby barrel go at a good price. E-mail me if you are interested. (Surfish7@aol.com) I bought a CZ 550 416 Rigby last year and just love it.
