24/7 feedback please
« on: March 09, 2006, 03:39:36 AM »
Hi guys,

I'm thinking about purchasing a 24/7 in 9mm.  It comes with 2 17rd mags, and a lifetime warranty of corse, so at $299 it is hard to beat.  I checked one out at a local gunshop and liked it a lot aside from the long trigger pull.

I've read several mixed reviews.  I'm not sure if Taurus is still producing this gun.  What is your experience, and what have you heard about this gun?

thx
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What about the PT-92?  I can get one for around $350 in Stainless.

Recently had a chance to shoot a 24/7  trigger pull seemed terrible when dry fired. But once you load it and start shooting I really enjoyed it.  I just picked up a 92 but havent shot it yet maybe this week end

I recently purchased a 24/7 new and had it for 2 weeks before it failed to fire any cartridges I ran through it. I sent it back on the lifetime warranty and am still waiting. I have called, written, and filed a consumer conplaint with the dept.of justice and it has done no good. Taurus tells me it needs a new firing pin. I guess they don't have any. It has been over 10 weeks. My advice, do not buy anything made by Taurus.
