Century sold Spanish made commercial Mausers made after FN got out of the Model 98 business. Santa Barbara used the same actions. They are certainly not up to Obendorf's craftsmanship standards, and I think today's CZ actions are better also. However they are Mauser 98s, and don't need to be of the best materials or workmanship to be safe. The design takes care of that. I'd buy one at the price you quoted. Although a Stevens 200 would be a better shooter. :wink:
