I have a Savage 300 Ultra Mag that I have been using Barnes 180 grain XLC bullets in.The last 3 elk I have shot were 450 to 500 yard front shoulder shots and the barnes bullets went clear through them.The elk all died fast but I want to try the Sierra 220 grain bullets for more shock power.Has anyone tried these in their 300 Ultra Mag?
