I have a model 700 BDL SS DM in 308 Win. Two of my four magazines have a similar problem. One of these is brand new and the other is like new. The problem is that when I go to chamber the LAST round, the base of the round pops up after I have moved the bolt forward about a half inch. The round often ends up on top of the bolt and can fall to the ground if I dont catch it first. This makes the last round more than useless. I contacted Remington and they say to bring the rifle and magazines to a Rem. qualified gunsmith. Have any of you experienced this with your magazines. Is there a quick, cheap fix - like bending the lips of the magazine. I'm ready to experiment a little before I hand over big bucks to the gunsmiths. Just thought I would ask around here first.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
