t3 Tikka and Warne scope mounts
« on: January 30, 2006, 11:33:22 AM »
I was concerned about the standard scope mounts that came with my T3 30-06 because of some pretty rugged ATV rides to and back from my deer stands.  I got a set of Warne Mamima scope mounts and that concern is gone.  These mounts are made of steel and are very stout!  I bought them from Brownells I am sure others sell them.  Maybe the scope mounts that came from Tikka were up to the task but I didn't want to take the chance with such an aggressive trip through the bush, rocks, logs and rutted trails.  Thanks to Zachary for mentioning them on this board.  They look very good on the firearm, all business!!.  Buckfever

Buckfever,
I have those mounts and their QD rings on my 45/70 Marlin Guide Gun.You'll like them.I sure do.They take a pounding and when I remove the scope and rings to shoot with open sights and then back to scope again, same point of impact.

Congrats Buckfever. I'm glad I could be of help. Yes, they sure as heck are strong...and heavy.

Trust me, those rings will hold up very well on your Tikka. :)

I ordered the Tikka alloy rings for my 270wsm. They are the one piece deal and I can't wait to put them on. I also ordered a Nikon Monarch 3-9x40. Long wait until November.

Please give us a review on that gun, caliber, recoil, accuracy and such when you get it out.  Interesting caliber and the only WSM I have an interest in.  Thanks  Bob
