Savage 24 Questions
« on: February 20, 2006, 05:48:17 AM »
Hi.  Just got my first O/U combo Savage M24 this weekend (.22lr over/20 gauge under), and have a couple of questions & observations:

1.  Trigger pull is very bad.  Is it easy or difficult to do a little dremeling/polishing?  Any guides on how?

2.  The LOP is very long....anyone cut their stock down?  I may have to.

3.  It shoots well with .22a and I like it a lot...watch out squirrels!

4. What's the range of market prices used for one in average condition?  I paid $150 - too much, good deal, or about right?

Here's a few links, hope they help. Also NO Dremel... not a safe tools with triggers.

A search on this site will turn up more info. I have an old savage 22lr/410 and a 22lr/20ga. Both happen to shoot very well. I happen to get very good results with Aguila 22 SSS. $150 is a decent price IMO. Good luck and enjoy.
