Did anyone ever try to use a drag link socket instead of the tool? It is a large slotted screw driver head on a 1/2 in. drive socket. the 3/4 in. one looks like it will fit. Sears makes a set of 4 with different size screwdriver heads. I had to buy the set for a specific application on my boat last year, and remembered I had them and compared it with the tool. $20 for the set.
