I have tried pyro pellets and 777 pellets and loose 777 I cant get loose pyro here, and I am strapped for time, I already changed the scop once, lateley I have been getting some groups but only 2 shots at a time the other are still off.. I got a load that I can hunt with but it limits me to 80 yard shots, I am qualified shooter to take atleast 100-150 yard shots I thought the sidekick was capable of that thats why I got it, last year I took a bull moose 400 yards with my 338 dropped in it tracks...

I believe you live in Michigan and are scrambling to get ready for the Muzzleloader season, but I think you should slow down for a second. You are trying too much too fast.

You need to be more specific about what powder loads and bullet combinations you have tried and the groups obtained with the combinations.

It would help to know if how you are shooting, clean barrel, dirty barrel, swabbing between shots? Did you switch bullet and powder combinations during the same range session.

Several of the bullets you listed should work well with 2 pyrdoex pellets.

My first experience at the range with my Sidekick was good, reasonable groups, but not great.
The second time at the range there were 6 or 7 people making recommendations and having me try lots of different stuff. That session was a disaster, nothing worked and shot groups were horrible.
The third time no help from anyone, I got the Sidekick sighted in and got the 1 to 2 inch groups I was looking for.

I was so happy with the accuracy of Sidekick I used it for the firearm season instead of my rem. deer gun.

Since you can't get loose powder, I suggest that you pick the bullet that you have the most of ,start with a clean barrel, 2 pellets. As you shoot you should be able to determine which shots are not grouping, then you should be able to get some good help here.

I don't know about your part of Mich. but in Battle Creek it is 9.5 degrees, far too cold for me to go to the range. Since time is short you may have to use the combination that worked the best so far this year and worry about experimenting with other load combinations next year.

What was the combination that worked best and how big was the group?

Good luck this weekend.

Dick

My Sidekick groups wonderfully with 90 gr Goex FFG behind a Buffalo Bullet 245 gr Ball-Et, same wiht Pyrodex RS using the Variflame and Small Pistol Primers. It also shoots Roundballs pretty well with about 70-80 gr of said powder. I don`t shoot over 50 yards though and open sights. I shot a Doe in the neck at 40 yeards in the Fall this year. Jack.
